Abstract:

In cooperation with Slovenian Ministry of Defence a number of projects in the area of fuel-cell based applications are going on. As a promising source of electrical and heat energy fuel cells have substainal potential for the usage in different military applications. Slovenian Ministry of defence financialy supports the design of a test laboratory TESTLAB as the system for demonstration, testing and validation of various components used in a fuel cell based systems.

The primary aims of the project are to acquire knowledge and skill for the design of different fuel cell based applications and the design of an integrated setup with 1kW fuel cells, various H2 storages, electrolyser, solar panels and electrical or heat converters. The secondary aim of the project is the usage of this experimental testing environment as a polygon for testing and validation of various newly developed components for fuel cell based application systems.
