Jernej Mlinarič received Certificate of recognition from PCT Technology Network for Master's Thesis

Technology Network Process Control Technology (PCT) has delivered awards and certificates of recognition for the best diploma and master's thesis for 2022.

The Master's Thesis Certificate of Recognition for 2022 was awarded to Jernej Mlinarič for his master's thesis entitled "Diagnostics and prognostics of electromechanical systems based on mechanical, electrical, vibrational and acoustic signals". The underlying work has been performed at our Department of Systems and Control at the Jozef Stefan Institute under the suprvision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Martin Petrun, Asst. Prof. Dr. Aleš Belšak and Asst. Prof. Dr. Damir Vrančić.

In the master thesis, a diagnosis and prognostics system for the motor and planetary gearbox assembly was designed and implemented, which detects changes in the assembly based on vibration measurements and thus calculates the expected lifetime of the assembly. The work has contributed to GOSTOP research programme.

The award ceremony was held on May 11, 2022 at the ASM'21/22 conference. Congratulations!
