Kick-off meeting of H2020 project INEVITABLE

In October 2019, the Department of Systems and Control launched a new project entitled "INEVITABLE - Optimization and performance improving in metal industry by digital technologies".
The project is co-financed by the EU under the Horizon 2020 programme. The focus of the project is on digital technologies in the process industries, thematically covered by the SPIRE programme. The three-year project is coordinated by the Department of Systems and Control at Jozef Stefan Institute and is estimated at € 6 million.
The project will develop tools and platforms for optimizing and improving processes in steel and non-ferrous industry by digital technologies. The project involves some of the most important steel companies from the European Union, such as SIJ Acroni, voestalpine, Sidenor and Eibar Precision Casting.
On October 8 and 9, we organized a kick-off meeting at the Jožef Stefan Institute.
