Abstract:

In cooperation with Slovenian Ministry of Defence a number of projects in the area of fuel-cell based applications are going on. Fuel cells as a promising source of electrical and heat energy have due their characteristics substainal potential for the usage in different military applications.

One of the possibilities is their usage as a source of elecrical and heat energy in cogeneration systems. We are currently developing the prototype of a mobile cogeneration system for electric and heat supply for a basic military unit, where as the source of electric and heat energy the 7kW fuel cell based agregate is used.

The cogeneration system will be installed into a standard military container for simple transport and mobility. This will enable an efficient energetic support to the living conditions of military units on remote locations in Slovenija as well as on their missions abroad.
